News - Nilofar likely to hit Karachi coast today

Nilofar likely to hit Karachi coast today. Tropical cyclone ‘Nilofar’ in the Arabian Sea get intensified and is currently about 1,100 kilometers away from Karachi in the northwest, while heavy rains and dusty winds will start in coastal areas of Sindh including Karachi after hitting storm with Karachi coast.

According to Met department, tropical cyclone “Nilofar” made in west central Arabian Sea is getting further intensified, while storm is 1000 KM away from Pakistan. Meteorological department officials said that storm speed will be 50 knots per hour with the change of direction, and it will turn from north-west to north-east today.

Officials told that storm will be ended near the border of Gujarat and Sindh on October 31. On the other hand administration has imposed section 144 on bathing at Karachi Sea and advised fishermen not to go into the deep sea till Friday.
